BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE
(NOVICE: 0-4 YEARS EXPERIENCE)

This is where it all begins.  Wrestling is a tough sport and at an early age,
it should be fun.  Typically, this group is 10 years old or younger and the
training is geared towards skill development rather than teaching a
technique or move.  Without the specific skill, a technique will never be
mastered and we insist on perfect technique and demonstration of skills.

Primary areas of focus of this age group are push out drill, basic
gymnastics, double post, double snap, snap post set ups, double leg,
back stepping, wall walk arching, tripod stand up, hip heist, wrist and half.

A variety of games that utilize speed and agility transfer directly into a
wrestling skill or technique often are used and wrestlers respond positively.
