IN-SEASON PHASE
NOV 7-MAR 7

For many, this phase is your primary focus during the year and is
considered your competition phase.  We break-down technique even
further and continually make corrections of all the basic skills that have
been hit upon during the pre-season.  The volume is slightly decreased,
but the intensity increased and more demands placed on wrestlers.  For
others, this is a preparation phase in which winter competitions are used
to prepare for summer competition.

Weight cutting is a big part of this phase and we do not recommend 14
year olds or younger to take part in it.  Don't believe that if you shed 10
pounds, it will give you an edge over your opponent because the better
wrestlers are competing at a higher weight and against older wrestlers.
