RECOVERY PHASE
JUL 15-AUG 14

Believe it or not, recovery is one of the most important phases during a
wrestler's yearly training cycle and if done correctly, break-thrus and
jumps in levels will be obtained.  If a coach tells you any different, parents
and wrestlers need to question their authority and seek out other opinions.

In addition to the recovery phase, periodic rest should be implemented
throughout the entire year.  Listen to your body.  Showing up to a
wrestling room already exhausted, unable to execute technique properly
while drilling or dragging your feet during live wrestling does you or your
partner no good.  You're better off staying home and resting and getting
ready for the next practice.  Work hard all year, but be smart about your
training.  Take time to rest your body and mind and come back refreshed.
